JUNE 5 Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, 'I have come down from heaven'? Jesus answered them, 'Do not murmur among yourselves. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.' John 6:42-44 Jesus was certainly a puzzle to many. I can imagine myself asking the same thing -- I know you, your parents, how can you say you come down from heaven? Jesus, in his confident, self-possessed manner makes no excuses, no defense, but continues to speak the truth of who he is and why he came. Jesus, help me to keep my eyes on the upward call and the ultimate prize of being raised up with you on the last day. Amen.

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, receive his Holy Spirit and experience His power to live this new life.

These Scripture meditations are a simple tool to be used if you want peace in your life, joy in your heart, love in your family, faith in Jesus, power to do what seems impossible. This is the new and abundant life Jesus came to give us -- and it doesn't cost us a thing, except a little time, and a sincere heart. The benefits are out of this world!
